Last moments.
Those moments where we had our arguments and you would say, “I’m not always going to be here” or “One day, I won’t be here”. I would brush that off and life would go on. Remembering you say that makes it so hard because its so true. I’m sorry for all the fights we had. I’m sorry for making you worry when you shouldn’t have. I’m sorry for making you do things for my own selfish reason. And I’m sorry I can’t say “I’m sorry” to you now. The tears will never go away, but I’m glad that thought of you won’t go away either.
Yes, your parents make you upset at times and you don’t want to talk to them, but don’t hold that grudge. Spend as much time with them as possible, because honestly, you don’t know when life is cut too short. You may have a fight, but cool down for a bit and don’t let your last words be an argument. I’m just glad mine weren’t.
(That goes for friends too, not just parents. Don’t let the last thing you say to anyone close to you be something you wish you never said.)
